Context
Availability management had been coming up in owner feedback for a while — an accumulated issue rather than an isolated request. Targeted discussions with a few typical user profiles helped clarify real use cases before starting the design: in which contexts an owner needs to adjust their slots (a cancelled trip, last-minute availability), and why the web version alone wasn’t enough to cover them.
Goals
→ Give Koolicar owners the flexibility they need, in the moment
→ Enable calendar editing from anywhere — in bed, in traffic, during downtime
→ Increase the number of completed rentals
Process
The first flows were laid out from notes and sketches, then turned directly into testable wireframes — the goal being to iterate on prototypes rather than static mockups. Early testing helped refine the user journeys, and especially the placement of elements to make interactions more intuitive.
The resulting interface:
→ A color system to spot availability and rental zones at a glance, on a calendar view spanning up to 6 months
→ Usage hints displayed by default, dismissible and recallable on demand via a dedicated icon
→ A stacked card system to edit a day: choose an availability mode, a time slot, and its associated location, without leaving the calendar view

Results
User tests conducted right after the first release helped surface real usage needs. The clearest demand: being able to repeat the same availability pattern across multiple days or weeks, rather than re-entering each slot manually — a priority retained for the next version.
